BAD IDEA
I have seen many dumb ideas about improving boot times but this one is in a class by itself.
Steps 1-5 will create a script that will delete the NTOSBOOT-B00DFAAD,pf file on every shutdown. This file has one purpose only - to optimize boot times. Deleting this file will prolong boot times, in some cases considerably.
Steps 6-10 will remove a short delay during boot that will partially overcome the damage done in steps 1-5. It will also disable a second hard drive or CD if present. So beware.
Bottom line: Avoid this “tip”. The original author (not the author of this site) knew nothing about prefetching or the boot process.
